A few weeks ago I received a product called Beta Naturals Argan Oil Moisturizer in the mail to review.

Argan Oil is said to be an ideal moisturizer for hair, skin and nails and has become widely popular over the years.

Beta Naturals boasts that their product is especially unique because it’s:

#CyberMonday What Deals Did You Give In To?

So today was the infamous Cyber Monday and I did my best not to overindulge on all the beauty deals.

My girl @DeolaCola put me on to Milani Cosmetics’ 50% off deal that included FREE SHIPPING.

I bought five items including their Color Perfect Lipstick in ‘Gourmet Coffee’, their Baked Metallic Eyeshadow in ‘I Heart You’; a sexy red, Lip Flash in ‘News Flash’, their Specialty Nail Lacquer in ‘Glitter Red’ and Haute Flash lipgloss in ‘In A Flash.’

I actually already had a $15 credit with PayPal so my whopping total for all FIVE products was only .96 CENTS! AWESOME.

I’m super excited to try out these new lipsticks and I already know Milani makes a great eyeshadow, so hopefully I’ll get back into some FOTDs.

In addition to Milani Cosmetics, I stopped by Keyshia Dior’s ‘Ka’oir Cosmetics’ site to pick up her signature BLUE LIPSTICK.

I know what you’re thinking, but a good friend of mine has her #DiorDoll lipstick and I’m exctited to check it out.

Quick Flicks: Before The 2011 Soul Train Music Awards [Photos]

A few weeks back I had a chance to attend and work the red carpet at the 2011 Soul Train Music awards.

I didn’t have anyone on hand to take pictures of me before the event so I snapped a couple of quick flicks in photobooth.

I wore a Bar III by Macy’s dress, Steve Madden platform sandals and ‘Atlanta’ lashes by Stephen Moleski.

The hair of course is still my virgin chinese in 18, 22 and 24.

Common Previews His New Album In Atlanta [Photos]

 

This post is almost completely gratuitous, but bear with me.

During the Soul Train Awards week, myself and my co-workers were invited to Common’s listening party where we had the chance to listen to his The Dreamer, The Believer album in its entirety.

Needless to say we were all very impressed, on this project Common’s taking us back to his Rashid days and rapping with tenacity some people may have forgotten he already had.

The album, which hits stores December 20, has limited features—Nas and Maya Angelou, who’s been a strong supporter of the rapper and his Common Ground Foundation.

Also in the building for the event was Keri Hilson, Jeezy, Ne-yo and his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.

I had a great time, so great in fact that I just HAD to pose for pictures of the man of the hour.

Beautiful Textures Hair Care Collection Premieres In Atlanta [Photos]

Before the Thanksgiving Holiday, a number of natural hair beauties converged at Bar ONE Atlanta for Strength of Nature’s Global hair care collection – Beautiful Textures.

Beautiful Textures is designed specifically for women with mixed textured hair including curly, wavy, kinky-coily, and frizzy hair textures.

On Monday, beauty influencers and natural hair enthusiasts were treated to natural hair demonstrations by natural hairstylist Kimberly Walker of Tress Talk (Hey Boo!…lol) and a formal introduction to the collection by Strength of Nature Global Marketing Director, Charlene Bastien.

Also on hand was natural hair beauty blogger Lexi of  Curls, Coils And Kinks.com.

Although I couldn’t make it out (Yes, #TeamWeave was invited), I heard the event was awesome, well put together and an excellent introduction to the new haircare line.

Soooo I’m Kind Of In Love….#NewHair

Sooo I got my hair done yesterday and I’m really liking it…A LOT actually.

This is my first time using this hair and it’s 14, 18, 24 of virgin Chinese in “natural color” a.k.a. dark brown.
