Review: IMAN Cosmetics Spring 2012 ‘Sweet Temptations’ Line

5 May

Last weekend I had the pleasure of trying out IMAN Cosmetics’ new makeup line. The latest from the eternally flawless model is her ‘Sweet Temptations’ collection that’s said to be “the perfect palette” for spring with honey, citrus and berry tones for eyes and cheeks. Additionally Sweet Temptations boasts that it includes candy colored hues for lips which would be perfect for the this time of the year.

On Saturday I attended an in-store at my local Walmart where I was greeted by the IMAN Cosmetics team (Hi Sedric!) who were all very helpful in picking out colors to match my skin and compliment my complexion. After testing out a few shades we settled on their foundation in ‘Clay’ which is said to match dark olive to light brown skin. We also paired the foundation with IMAN’s ‘Afterglow Sheer Bronzing Powder’ to give me a healthy glow.

After.

Immediately after my mini makeover I noticed that the bronzer helped to brighten out my face and bring out my cheeks, a plus since they’re one of my favorite features. The Clay foundation matched so well that I didn’t even notice it, a good thing considering that the temperatures are heating up and a number of women are looking for very light coverage.

After leaving the in-store I added to my look with my usual daily makeup routine; jet black cream liner, fiber gel mascara and a peach gloss and put my bangs back in place. With my Secret Temptations included I had a simple full face that lasted throughout the day even in this B L A Z I N G Atlanta sun. I was also surprised by how much I liked the ‘After Glow’ that was my first time trying a bronzer and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Check out some pictures I took from the Sweet Temptations in-store. Will you be checking out IMAN’s new line?
